Cinema Eye Honors has named 10 short documentaries that will compete for their top prize and fully 30% of them screened at this past April's Nashville Film Festival.
Dustin Guy Defa's wonderfully disturbing Family Nightmare, Afarin Eghbal's animated documentary Abuelas, and NaFF winner for Best Documentary Short, Matt Lenski's Meaning of Robots - a documentary about an elderly man's quest to make a robot porno (if you didn't believe us, or the jury that it's really good - this should finally convince you!).
