Academy Award-winning composer Marvin Hamlisch has passed away at age 68. Hamlisch has certainly left his impression on the world of film music. He won Oscars for his work on The Way We Were and The Sting. On Broadway, he created A Chorus Line. And he's one of only three composers to win an Oscar, an Emmy, a Grammy and a Tony.
His latest work for the state was The Nutty Professor - which premiered here in Nashville before heading to Broadway later this year.
He will be missed, but his influence is without end.
